At Strawbery Banke Museum, we are fortunate to be able to tell the stories of real people and families who once lived in our historic houses. While exploring the site, you will encounter interpreters in some of the houses. Interpreters are people who will be able to tell you about the history of the particular house you are visiting and answer any of your questions. You may also encounter roleplayers. Roleplayers will be dressed in period costume and are pretending to be someone who once really lived in the houses on our museum grounds. Depending on the day you visit, you will also meet some craftspeople, which can include basket weavers, fabric weavers, coopers, and hearth cooks.
